Kyra was our very first Black and Tan Coonhound, and came home to us in 2009. She showed with Jordan in Junior Showmanship before going on to finish her Grand Championship. In 2014 she had a litter of 4 puppies, our first litter of Black and Tan Coonhounds (Fiona, Axe, Jesse and Copper). Kyra was Best Veteran at the 2016 Western National as well as Select Bitch. 

3 of her 4 puppies finished their AKC Championships!

• Axe was #1 NOHS Black and Tan Cooonhound in 2019 and is a multiple group placing dog.
• Fiona completed her Grand Championship in limited showing with all majors.
• Jesse (CH Hawkwillow Windbourne Burn Notice) finished his Championship and went on to sire several litters with our friends at Windbourne Farms including the 2021 and 2022 Westminster Best of Breed Winner (MBIS GCHB CH Windbourne Remy Martin), and two other group winning progeny (Tipsy - GCHS CCH CH Windbourne Absolut, and Basel - NBISS GCH CH Windbourne Fireball) 

At almost 16, mobility and quality of life became a concern and we elected to let Kyra go, she got to have her favorite foods, lay in her yard, in her bed, and go for an eternal slumber with no fear or stress. She's terribly missed.
